World Cup of Pool 2009 - Quezon City, Philippines

September 1, 2009. Last Tuesday, I went to SM City North Edsa Annex to witness the start of a six-day event of the PartyCasino.Net World Cup of Pool 2009. There were 31 countries scheduled battling for the coveted crown. These countries include the United States of America (the defending champion), Germany, England, Malta, Sweden, Finland, China, France, Canada, Korea, Australia, Spain, Indonesia, India, Qatar, Austria, Italy, Croatia, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Belgium, Poland, Denmark, Russia, Vietnam, Holland, and the Philippines. The Philippines as a host will have two teams. Philippines A is composed of Dennis Orcollo and Ronnie Alcano. Philippines B is composed of Efren "Bata" Reyes and Francisco "Django" Bustamante.

Team Malta composed of Tony Drago and Alex Borg
Team USA, composed of Rodney Morris and Shane Van Boening, emerged victorious against their equally talented counterparts from Team Malta.
Pride of Germany, si Ralf Souquet. One of the best pool players in the World. He is one of my favorites.
Partner of Ralf Souquet, si Thorsten Hohmann
Marcus Chamat of Team Sweden
